Like
the Television Screen of Pakistan, The film industry of this nation is
gradually making its place in the World, where a new trend of casting
new, talented faces is becoming popular. The Models who started their
showbiz life by appearing on Pakistani Dramas are proving their acting
skills when they are casted for Pakistani Movies. While Fawad Khan and
Mahira contributed in giving Khuda ke Liye and Bol to the world, Its now
Mohib Mirza and his Wife, the very promising, Aamina Sheikh, Who
emerged on Silver Screen with Mansoor Mujahid’s Lamha( Seedlings).
Lamha (Seedlings) is an emotional drama based
movie, which promotes the idea of Forgetting it and moving on. As a
debutant Film Director, Mansoor Mujahid put in all his efforts to make
it a successful one. According to a an interview given by the director,
the choosing of cast was the most important step that was needed to be
taken wisely, and soon after signing Mohib and Aamina, he realized that
the decision was right.
After consulting the experienced personalities of
Pakistani Showbiz, the decision was been made to nominate
Lamha(seedlings) for the New York City International Film Festival that
was concluded this Friday. As a reward of the entire team’s hard work,
the film succeeded in winning two awards, bringing Aamina Sheikh the
Best Actress in leading role, while the movie itself won the title of
Best Feature Film.
However, the film was nominated in 5 categories,
also nominating Mohib Mira for Best Actor, Mansoor Mujahid for best
Director, and Gohar Rasheed for supporting role.
The story is based on the life of a young couple
Maliha and Raza who go through a miserable life, facing problems in a
relationship after the tragic death of their only child.
The Nation of Pakistan is proud of the entire team
