It seems like media is taking all the privilege to
expose the hidden realities of Pakistani showbiz where vulgarity has
become a must to have ingredient when it comes to stage and theatres
especially. A major reason behind this negligence-and-tolerance for the
theatre world is the fact that only those people know the level of
cheapness who actually intend to enjoy it. Here is a brief story of one
of the most controversial stage actress who shared the realities of her
business in “Ek Din Geo k Sath”.
This 30 Years, as told, Zara Akhtar received her
early education till her matriculation and quit studies to enter
showbiz. Starting her career as a child artist at the age of 12, she
appeared on screen in a morning show. Soon she found that this is not
what she was aiming for and soon entered the theatres.
The show revealed the blue side of our media where
this lady exposed herself with her indecent dressing and talking openly
about things that must be a part of censored aspects in a respectable
family. She claimed that 80% of the females in showbiz are chain smokers
and drinkers but she casually smokes but never drunk. The host went too
far asking her about her views about love and relationship and to this,
she was confident enough in replying. She said that this media is all
full of lust where she was compelled to work with deep necks and
indecent roles, because that was a requirement.
In later part of the show, the most unethical side of
entertainment industry was unfolded where Zara went to a friend’s dance
party and a true disco night in a Muslim country’s Muslim house was
seen. According to Zara, this field is better than all other mediums as
payback is great with a 5-6 lakhs as a must salary for 15 days.
