YouTube or Facebook have now become a part of one’s day to day dealings and work. These are widely used to stay updated and connected with the fast growing world. Recently it was seen that due to some religious reasons and an Anti-Islamic Movie been uploaded on YouTube, Pakistan, along with several other Muslim Countries blocked YouTube within the country. However, it is critical to understand the reality of the decisions to analyse whether this was the only way to fight for the Religious Rights. up to date, YouTube, followed by several  business sites are non-functional in the country, leading to a cut-off situation for the people.

Banning YouTube and Facebook from your region not only disconnects you from the world but also gives a negative impact of you about dealing incorrectly with such uncertain situations. The government of Pakistan, by banning YouTube or Facebook, thinks that it can cause a huge damage to their economy which in fact is not the case at all. This region of the world does not affect their business or revenue even the slightest. The people need these websites more than they need you. They are least bothered by such bans since they generate peanuts from this region. It is the people who gets affected the most otherwise if it was them being affected, then Google and facebook would have had their offices and presence here ages ago.
Such acts of banning some websites are really a setback for most of the people. There are numerous people in Pakistan who rely on these websites to make a living by their online businesses. It brings them into dilemma about whether to work for their country or to opt for working for those who avoid such bans and have a consistent work flow.
Instead of banning the most used websites, the government could have gone for blocking the inappropriate content only rather that blocking the whole website and making many people suffer. Most of the people working online use Google services such as Docs, Drive, Gmail or even Google alone for searching. Many of the artists/musicians use YouTube for their publicity and advertisement. They release their videos online just to get some good name in the market since internet is their primary source of promotion these days. There are people from other walks of life as well, who being a newbie in their field, go for internet for their promotion. These bans make such people helpless.
The biggest damage is done to the students by blocking Google or YouTube since they are the daily users and learners. The YouTube tutorials are what help them the most. Be it a presentation or some course work, every student lands to YouTube. The IT students learn a lot from Google and YouTube. Google is the most widely used search engine and blocking its services and apps affects them the most. Google docs and Google drive have now become essential for them.
All in all, by banning these most commonly used and most helpful website, the government is causing damage to its own people by confining them to a limited piece of knowledge and wisdom. You yourself are sustaining your growth and benefiting others instead of your own people. Hoping to expect some wise decisions to be taken by the Government of Pakistan.

Pakistani Celebrities Adopting Indian Culture After Indian Fashion

Did you just notice what Fahad Mustafa has on his forehead? Or did you just miss it? It was “sindoor”! A red powder used by Indians at the time of their marriage to bind a knot between them and it is also applied to their guests in respect. Sindoor being purely a symbol of Indian culture was used on a Pakistani TV show by a Pakistani actor. What else can we go for?
Fahad Mustafa is a well known Pakistani television actor, producer and model who have acted in many TV serials. He is the son of Sindhi character Salahuddin Tunio. His great work had established a huge name for him in Pakistani television industry. Apart from all the success stories, his sindoor act is what raised the most questions. People are curious about what was his real motive. Is this some new fashion? Or beginning of a new trend? Aren’t the Pakistanis already following the Indian trends? Is this what a Pakistani anchor should be doing?

Pakistani media and its people are already influenced by the Indian culture. The way dramas depict life is more common to what life in India is portrayed. Be it women’s dressing or any other household chore, everything is in sync with the Indian culture. For instance, the dance shows culture has struck Pakistan as well. Pakistani actors like Resham and Faisal Qureshi have been a part of it thereby forgetting their own culture and teaching the new generation what the other country has in store for them.
Moreover the singing competitions are being organized by different television channels in which the participants are from both the rival countries. Being friendly and looking forward to enhance relations is a different thing but not at the cost of one’s own culture and diversity. Fahad Mustafa has done something really absurd and far away from his own culture. The fans and other viewers take these TV persons as role models. What are they portraying by following the Indian culture? Do they really want to lose their identity?
Along with the actors, our news channels aren’t a step back. Everyone is a part of the rat race. Channels like Geo are promoting Indian culture at max in Pakistan. Showing vulgar Indian songs in their headlines with the whole family watching it becomes weird for the family members. You just cannot let your children watch such indecent stuff. An Indian promoting Indian culture is what we all understand but why is every Pakistani opting for the culture of India. It feels like the actors and channels have some hidden agenda.
However, it is not only Fahad Mustafa who is doing the wrong thing. There are loads of them who are following and setting the wrong trends. Even the citizens of Pakistan are affected by the Indian culture through their movies and daily soaps. For the betterment of this nation, everyone has to strive hard and get back to their own culture!
