Turkish Plays have become so much common and popular in Pakistan in such small time. Last year Pakistani drama ‘Humsafar’, directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat was a great emerge in world of Drama industry of Pakistan. It was not late then Turkish Dramas were introduced in our country.
The very first play that came into being was ‘Ishq e Mamnoon’ which was dubbed by Urdu Channel for the first time. The play captured every ones attention including the critiques till the very end.
Not forgetting to say, the same enthusiasm and attention was seen for Indian dramas few years back. The extreme fashion and over-graded emotions of neighbouring dramas petrified our audience for a very long time.
Since after lose of interest from the Indian plays, Pakistan Drama industry was emerging with very well directed plays which captured every ones interest. Not lately, the Turkish Culture popped out from nowhere and attained a great number of viewer rate ship.
At present, many Turkish Plays are broadcasted on different Pakistani channels has have attained a great fan toll due to its charming culture, expensive fashion trends and attractive blonde artists.
Here the question arises, are our channels justifying presenting these foreign culture with choice of people? Will this give a severe blow to our culture and ideology?
The Turkish plays are blend of not only foreign culture but also they are present such practices that are against the values of Islam. For example alcohol drinking, inappropriate dressing sense and using drugs. This is threatening for our cultural and norms.
And moreover, condemning over Turkish plays, they are creating dual-standards in media, because it is not for the first time our culture in invaded by outer power. Long before we have experienced the neighbors do so.
The Turkish plays on other hand have much in content to learn form like their dramas are filled with societal reflections. But their bold presentation of vulgarity and practices against our culture and Islam are main topic of concern.
