Pakistani Movie Josh Been Showcased in 14th Mumbai Film Festival

There is no doubt about the fact that Pakistan has got some real talent, that is now undeniable, thanks to small screen for highlighting the worth liking actors and introducing them to the big screens. With new actors appearing on screen, it is seen that Pakistan’s Filmi scope is raising in terms of all standards. Aamina Sheikh, a Model-turned-actress, who have been giving hit dramas one after another and a world class movie  Seedlings, is now again ready to bang the world with her new Feature Film, Josh.

Been Direced by Iram Bilal Manzoor, The movie is showcased at the Mumbai Film Festival in the world Cinema Category, Wow! The 14th Mumbai Festival, organized by MAMI, is a big event where winning filmmaker Michel Gondry, Palme D’Or Winner Michael Haneke, Ken Loach and Walter Salles, are also being showcased in the same category.

According to the latest reveals,

“Bilal is excited about her movie to be chosen in the world category to be screened along with the other best films from all over the world. The film Josh will be screened on October 22 at Mumbai.”

It is also likely to occur that Amina Sheikh along with her husband and fellow actor, Mohib Khan would be visiting Mumbai for the screening of the movie.

The movie is based on the reality incidents, highlighting the worst true stories that are a part of Pakistani Culture. Josh highlights the possible upcoming  revolutions that are somehow needed for the survival of the nation. From the music, to the screenplay, everything about the movie is superb and deserves an applause.

The cast of the movie is; Aamina Sheikh, Mohib Mirza, Khalid Malik, Navin Waqar, Adnan Shah Tipu, Salim Mairaj, Kaiser Khan Nizamani, Nyla Jafri, Parveen Akbar, Ali Rizvi and Faizan Haqquee.

Iman Ali To Appear in A Short Film By Maram & Aabroo

There is no doubt about the fact that the new generation in the showbiz of the country has some real talent emerging on screen.  talking about the models who made their way to dramas and then the film industry, there are quite a few of them who have won the hearts of the viewers in no time. One name that needs to be highlighted here is of Iman Ali.

 Daughter of Abid Ali, Senior Actor  of Pakistani Showbiz industry, Iman Ali has been showing her limitless talent in everything she do. From the two minutes advertisements she choose to the 2 hours movies she appears in, she has shown the real talents in the field of acting and adding spice to it, she manages to portray herself differently, every time.

Iman gave some best shots in a lead role in the movie “Khuda K Liye”, presenting herself as a brat in the first half and carrying the miseries of life decently in the later half.  Her phenomenal acting forced Shoaib Mansoor to cast her in his next hit, Bol, Which again turned out to be a turning point in her career. While performing the role of Meena (giving it a meena kumari touch) in the movie, she conveyed her skills in this domain too.

It was recently that Iman Ali has been featured in a short film which has been shot for the promotions of renown make-up artist, stylist and photographer duo Maram & Aabroo. Sadia Imam to Appear in a Bollywood Film

It seems that the this month is really a lucky one for  Sadia Imam, A Pakistani Actress who has had been enjoying the limelight for the most controversial moves in her career. We recently discussed about Sadia Imam’s Hijab rumour-cum-news in which she was amazingly seen in HIjab, as per her Husband’s wish. Now that the news is getting its charm end, the media is now all stuck by the latest news that Sadia will soon be appearing in the Indian Cinema as she has accepted an offer from Bollywood.

This Pakistani Actress has been a part of Pakistan’s Showbiz life for more than 15 years and now is often seen on different channels, playing side roles. This Model turned TV Actress is also hosting a Morning show (which we also discussed lately)  on a private TV Channel.

According to the authentic leaks, Sadia Imam is offered by the Indian Director, Vinud Malhotra for his upcoming film, Which is not labelled yet, although the script of this film is all ready to be implemented.
The officials do not talk about what kind of a role is offered to this Pakistani Actress and it is taken as a solid assumption that It would again be a similar kind of strategy where Pakistani Artists are given small roles in the Indian Cinema, raising Questions on their productivity and seniority.

Mehreen Syed To Debut With Bollywood Film

Pakistan’s top fashion model Mehreen Syed is also going to make her acting debut. But the interesting thing is that she is beginning with a Bollywood film by the controversial director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan.

Mehreen Syed stands among the leading fashion models of Pakistan for her killing looks and elegant catwalk at various national and international fashion runways. Recently she has signed her first film with an Indian film director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan who is recognized for his internationally acclaimed film Lahore that got banned in Pakistan due to controversial sports content.

Mehreen Syed will play lead actress in Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s second film. She is very excited about that and will start shooting for the film this September.

Pakistani Films- Headed Towards The Right Direction

Pakistan’s Film world is one of the most controversial industries in the country. If we go through the statistics of last 20 years, we will notice that the industry has been in severe loss where the low quality movies suffered with no viewers ready to give even a look. However, a drastic change can be seen in last 5 years when a new lot of Talented Directors, young and capable actors, and improved technology, together contributed in promoting the Talent of Pakistan.

It is now easier to distinguish between the quality work of today and the trivial nonsense of previous movies which were either based on stolen scripts of Bollywood or were simply focused on how to make things look vulgar in limited budget. But the coming era can be taken as a new hope in Showbiz.

If we go back few years back, the first step that was taken towards the revival of media is was Javed Sheikh’s Yeh Dil Apka Hua, where some new technology and a good music was introduced in the movie, however, acting still needed so much improvement. The next medal that was added in the Pakistan film industry was Shoaib Mansoor’s khuda k liye starring Shan, Fawad Khan and Eman Ali. The movie unfolded the real issues of the country. The movie highlighted the sufferings of Pakistanis on both ends where they were bitterly executed in the hands of west and by the extremist within the country. Although the movie had to face a serious criticism by the religious extremists in the country, but the majority of the viewers literally loved the concept.

Shoaib Mansoor turned out to be a real hero and came up again with Ramchand Pakistani which was a bigger hit. The movie was recognized universally and was again based on the real issues. Next was Bol that introduced Mahira Khan as an actress that people always wanted to see after Marina Khan Shehnaz Sheikh. Shoaib was intelligent enough to use Atif Aslam’s fan following by casting him in the film. The film was encouraged across the country.

In short, An obvious change is evident that would really work for the betterment of the nation.
