Wasim Akram makes singing debut with Ali Gul Pir and Ufone

Pakistani Cricket Legend Wasim Akram was once a brand ambassador of Mobilink Telecom, but a few months ago he switched to the rival telecom company, Ufone. Today marks the day, when Wasim Akram officially made his singing debut with Ali Gul Pir, for a Ufone TVC Tum Hi Tou Ho Saeen…
Legendary figures singing songs for Movie OSTs and jingles is not a new trend. In neighboring country, we have seen stars like Amitabh Bachan, Sanjay Dutt and various others singing songs for the same. This is probably happening for the first time in Pakistan, where a Cricket Legend records his voice and sings for a TVC, or say Raps for a song. Akram, who has also worked as a Cricket commentator after retirement, now debuts his singing career with a Rap Song. In the new Ufone TVC, he can be heard and watched doing Rap stuff with viral sensation Saeen Ali Gul Pir.
Pir, who got instant fame with his viral track Waderai Ka beta, extended the lyrics for this new rap song titled “Tum Hi tau ho Saaen” which is named after Ufone’s official tagline, Ufone Tum Hi Tou Ho. The track is dedicated to Cricket fanatics who keep a huge passion towards the game.
While the lyrics of track all revolve around “Saeen” it doesn’t really captivate the listener’s attention the same way as “Waderai Ka Beta“. But, it is indeed going VIRAL. Wait for our detailed review on the song.
